For help with a jump, Basic Form Nimbi's Puff Up is the relevant example: it increases jump height and allows one airborne dash. For faster movement, Basic Form Flameruff's Hustle increases speed while consuming stamina.

Start with the named form you want to compare. Read Pathfinding for the listed ability and level, then Mobility for the skill's effect. This guide shows how to choose between those descriptions.

Match the effect to the task

What you want Form to examine What its entry says
A higher jump and an airborne dash Basic Form Nimbi Puff Up increases jump height and permits one dash in the air
Faster movement Basic Form Flameruff Hustle increases movement speed while consuming stamina

Sources: Nimbi's abilities, Flameruff's abilities.

Choose by the stated effect: a speed increase and a higher jump solve different movement needs. Keep the stamina cost beside Hustle when making that choice.

Read the number beside the right ability

Nimbi's entry lists Fly Lv.1 under Pathfinding and Puff Up under Mobility. Read these as two separate fields:

  • Fly Lv.1: the listed Pathfinding ability and its level.
  • Puff Up: the Mobility skill that describes higher jumping and one airborne dash.

The Lv.1 label alone does not establish a character-level unlock requirement. It also does not turn the skill's name into “Puff Up Lv.1.”

To compare another form, repeat the same check on that form's entry. For example, Rainstorm Form Nimbi also lists Fly Lv.1 and Puff Up, while its combat elements include Electric as well as Wind. An element difference does not, by itself, tell you how the movement skill changes.

Choose for a jump

Suppose you already have Nimbi and Flameruff and want help with a jump:

  1. Identify the forms you have.
  2. Compare the effect descriptions for those forms.
  3. Prefer the description that actually mentions the action you need. In the Basic Form examples above, Puff Up mentions jumping; Hustle mentions movement speed and stamina.

The result is Puff Up for the higher-jump effect. Hustle's speed increase answers a different question; its description does not supply the same jumping effect.

Compare forms without adding an extra effect

If you are comparing Basic and Rainstorm Nimbi, both entries list Fly Lv.1 and Puff Up. Rainstorm's additional Electric element is a combat-element difference; these entries still give you the same jump-and-dash description. Use Rainstorm when making the Wind-and-Electric comparison, not as evidence for a second airborne dash.

If you do not own either example, use the same two-field check on a companion you do have: name the action you need, find an effect that mentions it, and retain any stated cost or limit. A skill name or similar-looking icon alone is not enough to make the match.

For the examples here, the useful comparison is one airborne dash with Puff Up versus faster movement with a stamina cost through Hustle. Neither description gives the height of a particular obstacle or a route across it.
